Servicemen of the 24th mechanized brigade received the NSDC awards for saving their comrade’s life

On behalf of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, servicemen of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the “West” operational command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were presented with the NSDC awards.

In particular, junior sergeant, combat medic of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 2nd mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion Yulia Krymtseva and soldier, assistant grenade operator of the 1st mechanized platoon of the 2nd mechanized company of the 1st mechanized battalion Dmytro Rubashevskyy were awarded Medals of Honor of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of the 3rd degree for their significant contribution ensuring national security and defense of Ukraine, conscientious military service and professionalism.

Thanks to their successful and professional actions in combat, evacuation, and providing first aid, Dmytro and Yulia saved the life of their comrade-in-arms, chief sergeant Andriy Dyachyshyn, who was severely wounded to the head with a bullet during the enemy shelling of our troops’ positions in the Donetsk region on August 29, this year.
