Oleksiy Danilov: The new National Security Strategy of Ukraine means not only a powerful military component but also compliance with NATO and EU standards in all spheres of the state’s life
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov took part in the conference “National Security Strategy of Ukraine” within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. National Security”, which was opened by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During his speech, Mr. Danilov noted that along with the priorities of Ukraine’s national security outlined by the Head of State, in particular, to strengthen military capabilities, “it is clear that the National Security Strategy means not only a military component but many factors that affect our security, the safety of our citizens”.
The NSDC Secretary reminded that NATO is first of all the standards of the organization that need to be achieved.
In this context, according to Mr. Danilov, Ukraine’s key task is “to bring our society, our economy, all our spheres of activity to the standards that meet NATO and the EU, so that our country is ultimately safe".
