The NCCC at the NSDC of Ukraine continues to conduct training events for the country's public sector

From December 8 to 10, the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine conducted the Hackathon training "Strategic Cybersecurity Planning and Management" with the support of the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF Global) and the US Department of State.

The target audience of the training were the heads of IT and IS units of potential critical infrastructure facilities: 82 representatives from the main subjects of cybersecurity of Ukraine (the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, the National Police, the SSU, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, intelligence agencies, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the National Bank) and 33 potential critical infrastructure facilities took part in the event and received Certificates.

The purpose of the training is to manage cybersecurity and cyber risks, create an effective cybersecurity management team, develop a cybersecurity strategy and strategic planning. The course consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical. After mastering the theoretical part, participants had the opportunity to apply it in practice in real situational tasks and practice methods of identifying and responding to threats, methods of calculating potential losses, principles of interaction, etc.

We would like to draw your attention to that after summarizing the results of the exercises, the participants who received the highest number of points for the practical task will be able to continue their studies on the basis of the NCCC, which shall be further reported.
