Four Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies are testing drugs for the treatment of COVID-19
JSC "Farmak", PJSC SIC “Borshchahivskiy Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant", LLC "BIOPHARMA PLASMA" and TDV "INTERCHEM" carry out clinical trials of drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, including symptomatic.
“Ukraine has a sufficient number of highly professional specialists and pharmaceutical companies capable of creating the necessary drugs and vaccines for the treatment of COVID-19”, - Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stressed.
According to the information posted on the website of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "Information on clinical trials in Ukraine", four clinical trials of four drugs are registered in Ukraine today - "AMIZON® MAX" (manufactured by JSC "Farmak", Ukraine), “Amiksin® IC” (TDV “INTERCHEM ”, Ukraine), “Korvitin®”( PJSC SIC “Borshchahivskiy CPP”, Ukraine) and “Bioven ”(LLC “BIOPHARMA PLASMA”, Ukraine).
All of these drugs are registered in Ukraine, so they are approved for use, and have long been known, but the instructions for their use do not contain information on the treatment of COVID-19.
Participants in all trials are adults (18-65 years), for "Bioven" and "Korvitin" elderly people (over 65 years) are additionally included in the list of participants.
There are no special drugs against COVID-19 coronavirus infection, now this disease is treated only symptomatically. The World Health Organization has noted that a number of drugs can help feel better and relieve symptoms of COVID-19, but there is no evidence that any drug can prevent or treat the disease.
