Oleksiy Danilov: The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should immediately ensure the additional accumulation of food supplies in the system of the state material reserve

The issue of food security of the state in the context of the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 is a priority and is under the control of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Head of State constantly draws the attention of the authorities to the need for the sustainable and secured provision of food supplies to all Ukrainian citizens, and quarantine measures cannot affect the stability of this process.

Implementing the tasks of the President of Ukraine, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov sent a letter to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal with a request to instruct the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine together with relevant state bodies to study the expediency of revising the list of the food goods group and, if necessary, increase the lists of product groups and the volume of their accumulation in the state reserve system.

During the meeting on the issues of food security of the state, Mr. Danilov drew the attention of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to the urgent need of revising the system of organizing the state reserve.
