President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov visited the National Guard Medical Center in Novi Sanzhary

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko visited the National Guard Medical Center in Novi Sanzhary, Poltava region, where the observation of Ukrainians and foreign nationals evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan had terminated.

During the medical observation, no coronavirus disease was detected in any person who came from China, so they can all return to normal life.

The Head of State met with citizens at the site in front of the building in which they were staying. Mr. Zelenskyy wished health to all those present and congratulated them on completing the observation in good health. He thanked the evacuees for their patience and the fact that they had courageously withstood the quarantine and all the events related to it.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed his gratitude to the doctors, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, and the Ministry of Health. “Well done, you did a really good job”, - Mr. President said.

Moreover, the Head of State expressed his gratitude to the crew of the aircraft, which evacuated citizens from China and was also sent for observation.

Speaking with journalists at the territory of the medical center, Mr. Zelenskyy noticed that Ukraine had never faced the need to evacuate its citizens from other countries because of the epidemic. But all agencies worked seamlessly and managed to cope with the situation.

“Everyone united very quickly – the State Emergency Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the regional state administration from our side. There were some issues with other law enforcement agencies, which had to work”, - Mr. Zelenskyy noted.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is paying a working visit to the Poltava region today.
