According to operational information, 2 citizens of Ukraine - passengers and 9 crew members - also citizens of Ukraine were on board of the Boeing 737 flight PS 752 of the Ukraine International Airlines that crashed after departure from Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran. This was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

According to him, the rest of the victims are citizens of foreign countries.

The NSDC Secretary noticed that the meeting of the operational headquarters, which had been established due to the aircraft crash, took place shortly upon receiving the information on the events at the Tehran airport from the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

"On the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, an operational headquarters was immediately established to clarify all the circumstances of the tragedy.  We already have a certain amount of information to understand what was going on", - the NSDC Secretary said.

At the same time, Mr. Danilov urged not to rush to the conclusions about the reasons of the plane crash before the official investigation is completed. Mr. Danilov said that the Ukrainian side is now awaiting confirmation from Iran of a safe departure for the two Ukrainian aircraft, which are to take the dead. Also, domestic experts are planning to go to Tehran to find out all the circumstances of the disaster.

As previously reported, Oleksiy Danilov, as instructed by the President of Ukraine, headed the operational headquarters of the NSDC of Ukraine, which had been established due to the crash of the Boeing 737 aircraft of the Ukraine International Airlines.
