First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Colonel General Mykhailo Koval participated in the celebrations on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the 80th Air Assault Brigade at its permanent duty station (Lviv region).
The First Deputy to the NSDC Secretary together with Commander of the Air Assault Forces Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysyuk paid tribute to the fallen warriors of the brigade and presented awards to the best servicemen.
"All generations of warriors who have gone
through the crucible of this military unit have proven themselves well. From
the very beginning of Independence, the brigade served the Ukrainian people,
defended the Ukrainian people, and has always been the first. It was, is, and will
be a model for all personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, - Mr. Koval emphasized.
