President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov visited the XVI International Specialized Exhibition “Arms and Security – 2019”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov visited the XVI International Specialized Exhibition of protection means, weapons, military and special equipment, dual-use technologies and products "Arms and Security - 2019".
The Ukrainian exposition is represented by 36 enterprises of the SC "Ukroboronprom"; 23 enterprises of the NGO "League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine", 2 enterprises of the State Space Agency of Ukraine. Over 130 other public and private enterprises of the defense industry and related industries participate in the exhibition; official scientific and educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense (5 institutions), the SSU, the State Emergency Service (5 institutions), the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (10 institutions) will present their expositions.
The Head of State and the NSDC Secretary got acquainted with the samples of domestic weapons and equipment, as well as visited national pavilions of the countries-participants of the event. "The enterprises of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex produce modern and effective weapons and equipment, which are among the best in the world", - Mr. Danilov said expressing his hope that mutually beneficial international military-industrial cooperation would strengthen the defense potential of Ukraine and its partners.
This year's exhibition brought together several international exhibitions in a single integrated event, dedicated to a complete list of security issues - from national to personal:
- "Arms and Security" - an exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment;
- "Expert Security" - an exhibition of the security industry;
- "Protection technologies PozhTech" - an exhibition of rescue means and fire safety.
The exhibition is expected to be attended by 372 participants, including 48 foreign participants - from the USA, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Belarus, Austria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Croatia, Israel, China, Kazakhstan.
The exhibition will host 36 scientific, practical and educational events.
