Oleksandr Turchynov: The state tests of the “Vilkha” missile will be carried out this March

The state tests of the "Vilkha" missile system will be carried out in March this year, and the mass production of missiles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be launched.

This was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in his answer to journalists' questions on Friday after the opening of the Cyberthreats Response Center.

Mr. Turchynov called the "Vilkha" missile a unique one and better than its Russian analog "Smerch". At the same time, he noted that these missiles "are already in demand abroad". "But first of all we must provide our army with this powerful weapon", - Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine added.

Oleksandr Turchynov expressed his hope that at the end of 2018 - in early 2019, the state tests of the domestic cruise missile will be conducted, and it will also be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
