O. Turchinov: Parliament has passed a Law that defines Russia as an aggressor

Despite the fierce resistance of the provocateurs who are working against our country and the hysteria of Russia, the bill "On the peculiarities of the state policy of ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine over temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts" was approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by 280 votes. This was stated by O. Turchynov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

According to him, this law creates legal and organizational conditions for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

"In addition, by expanding the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, this law strengthens our position in repulsing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine", - said O. Turchinov, adding that in this law, the Russian Federation "is clearly and unequivocally recognized as an aggressor state, and the territories of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions are deemed as occupied. " "It completely overwhelms the attempts of the Russian Federation to disguise the war against Ukraine as a" peacekeeping operation "and considerably strengthens the position of our country in international courts", - said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
