Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting with deputies of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov met with deputies of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. During the meeting, the issues of boosting cooperation in the defense and security sector and its reforming, as well as the situation in Donbas, were discussed.

The Committee members emphasized the importance of studying Ukraine's experience in countering hybrid aggression of the Russian Federation. In this context, the parties called for further coordination of actions to ensure security in Europe, stressing the importance of not only prolonging but also strengthening sanctions against Russia until all the occupied territories of Ukraine are liberated.

Mr. Turchynov reported on measures taken by Ukraine at the legislative level to repel Russia's armed aggression, in particular, the adoption in the first reading of the draft law on de-occupation of Donbas.
