Oleksandr Turchynov: The failure to vote for recognizing Russia as an aggressor state is a crime against Ukraine

Blocking of the tribune by the deputies of "Samopomich" and other radical political forces during the consideration of the issue of recognizing Russia as an aggressor and de-occupation of Donbas is a crime against their own country. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov during a briefing on Thursday.

According to him, in order not to give grounds for speculation, "on the initiative of the "People's Front", the "Radical Party" and other political forces represented in the Parliament, when voting in the first reading, a decision was made to exclude from the law the references to the Minsk agreements, which was announced from the tribune by the people's deputy Bourbak".

"When the "Samopomich" deputies saw that there were votes in the hall to recognize Russia as an aggressor and to outline a strategy for de-occupation of Donbas, they rushed to block the tribune, disrupting the adoption of the law, and arranged a holiday for Russian politicians and media", - Mr. Turchynov said.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine stressed that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine failed to adopt a strategic draft law, and "this crime of the fifth column against its own country cannot be covered by populist slogans". "There is no excuse for such provocation", - he noticed
