Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov took part in celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Rescue Worker

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman, representatives of law enforcement agencies participated in celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Rescue Worker.

The scheduled special training of units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine "Kyiv Sea-2017" were also held in Kyiv on this day; the capabilities of search and rescue forces during a rescue operation on a water facility were demonstrated.

About 300 personnel, 19 units of automotive, engineering, fire and special equipment, 4 units of aviation equipment and 26 units of watercraft and means of overcoming obstacles were involved in the exercises.

Mr. President of Ukraine presented state awards to the rescuers on the occasion of their professional holiday.
