Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktoras Pranckietis

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov met with Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktoras Pranckietis.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the military-technical sphere.

According to Mr. Turchynov, Ukraine has always felt Lithuania's support. "For us, Lithuania is not just a neighbor, not just a partner, it is a close friend", - he stressed.

In the context of discussing the work of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade, the members of the delegation emphasized the importance of Ukrainian experience, which Lithuania adopts and uses for the reformation of its troops.

Mr. Pranckietis informed that the Lithuanian delegation intends to visit the administrative border with the Crimea occupied by Russia in the Kherson region, and highlighted that "Lithuania supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and will never recognize the occupation of the Crimea".

"We are a small country, but our voice in Ukraine's support is heard everywhere - both in Europe and in America", - said the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania expressing his hope that the Ukrainian-Lithuanian strategic, economic and political cooperation will further deepen.
