Our main task is to introduce European values and standards in the lives of every Ukrainian. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov while he was opening a new regional service center together with Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and the leadership of Poltava region. The National Police Main Department in Poltava region also received electric vehicles, law enforcement officers were presented with certificates and keys from apartments.

Mr. Turchynov stressed that our main task now is to introduce European standards in all spheres of Ukraine's life. "For us, the main thing is that every Ukrainian could see and feel Europe not only in the EU countries but also in Ukraine so that it would not only geographically, but actually become part of a mighty, beautiful Europe", - Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine said.

In this context, Oleksandr Turchynov noticed that it was the Ministry of Internal Affairs that in the difficult conditions of military confrontation was the first among institutions of the security and defense sector "that had taken the path of reforms, turning into a civilian ministry, having launched services convenient for people". According to him, "new European standards are becoming part of everyday life".

"The safety of our citizens is the main task of the new Ukrainian police, which step by step confidently strengthens its positions, - he said. - I am convinced that both the technical support of policemen and the resolution of their social and domestic issues strengthen the security of the state, but the main mark to be received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police is citizens' trust and respect".

As previously reported, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov is paying a working visit to Poltava and Kharkiv regions on June 23-24.

In Kharkiv region, Mr. Turchynov will visit SE "Malyshev Plant", SE "Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau", and will partake in the expanded meeting of the military council of the National Guard of Ukraine.

On Saturday, Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine will participate in the graduation ceremony of the officers of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as in the opening of the updated department of the Border Guard Service "Topolya" of the Kharkiv border squad.
