Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov held a meeting with NATO Assistant Secretary General Camille Grand.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed Russia's hybrid aggression against Ukraine, the issues of cooperation with NATO countries in military-technical sphere and cybersecurity, as well as the transition of the security and defense sector of Ukraine to the NATO standards and of its military-industrial complex, in particular.
"Only powerful weapons and strong army can stop the aggression of the Russian Federation", - Mr. Turchynov emphasized adding that the restoration of Ukraine's multilateral military-technical cooperation with the Alliance countries is one of our key priorities.
In his turn, Mr. Grand stressed that NATO does not ignore the topic of the annexation of the Crimea by Russia and events in the east of Ukraine. "NATO demonstrates unity regarding Russia's actions, which are extremely dangerous to world order", - he noticed.
"NATO considers Ukraine one of the most important partners and is very optimistic about the prospects of our cooperation", - he concluded.
