We must be worthy of the fallen in battles heroes, to defend and to liberate Ukraine. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense of Ukraine Olexander Turchinov, on Friday, during common with Interior Minister Arsen Avakov opening in the Boyarka of Kyiv region Memorial in honor of volunteer battalions fighters who were killed in the area ATO.
Turchynov said that three years ago the Ukrainians went to Maidan to defend their right to live in the free independent country, to protect the future of their children, not to allow to turn the country into the Russian colony. "We won, but we got bleeding country with destroyed army, paralyzed security forces and the enemy took advantage by launching aggression in Crimea and eastern Ukraine", - he reminded.
Turchynov noticed that it was urgent immediately to defend the country, to stop the enemy, so he appealed to the patriotic volunteers to go and "stand in wall-breach for their country." Then, he said, it was created the National Guard, formed volunteer battalions of special purpose of Interior Ministry, which with conventional small arms "first came to defend their country."
"Then our volunteers stopped the enemy, made it possible to build a strong Ukrainian army, a powerful National Guard, but the price was too high. We are opening in Kiev region the Memorial that will always remind everyone about the heroic volunteers, about the guys who did not waited the mobilization, and gave for Ukraine, for their children, for their families, for all Ukrainian most valuable that they had - a life", - said Turchynov. "God says that there is no greater love than to give his life for one's neighbor. They are infinitely loved their children, their family, their Ukraine. And now they are in heavenly host are looking at us, and we should feel responsibility for their heroism, for their and our relatives, for Ukraine, and our duty - to protect and to liberate Ukraine ", - said the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine.
At the memorial opening ceremony took part also Acting Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine Vadim Troyan, people‘s deputies of Ukraine, relatives of fallen soldiers.
