Oleksandr Turchynov visited the Operational Command Headquarters of the services of the Armed Forces of Republic of Poland
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov today during his visit to Poland visited the Operational Command Headquarters of the services of the Armed Forces of Republic of Poland.Commander of the Operational Command Gen. Marek Tomaszycki told Oleksandr Turchynov about the objectives, structure and functioning of military unitssubordinate to the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland,as well as about planning, organizing and conducting operations within a multinational NATO forces.
As part of studying the experience of Special Operations Forces of Poland NSDC Secretary visited the command center of the special purpose unit "GROM", where the unit commander Colonel Peter Honstal gave the NSDC Secretary a sight on tasks, performed by his subordinates, approaches of Polish military in the fight against terrorism as well as demonstrated samples of means of communication, weapons, equipment and special outfit, used by Polish special forces.
According to Oleksandr Turchynov, despite the aggression against our country, which lasts for more than two years already, "we are carrying out the reforming of the force structures, in particular, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine".
"That is why the experience of Polish colleagues is very important to us, especially in the context of the establishment of Special Operations Forces and Operational Staff in Ukraine, whose tasks are similar to those tasks, performed by those military units, experience of which we have studied today", - Oleksandr Turchynov concluded.
