A meeting of NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov with NATO Deputy Secretary-General Alexander Vershbow took place
During the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation between our country and NATO, having paid special attention to the issue of reforming certain areas of defense and security sector of Ukraine and the transition to NATO standards.
The parties also discussed preparations for the NATO Summit in Warsaw and participation of Ukraine in it.
According to Oleksandr Turchynov, cooperation with NATO is a "strategic activity area" for our country. "We see no alternative to European and Euro-Atlantic integration", - NSDC Secretary stressed, having thanked Alexander Vershbow and the leadership of the Alliance in his person "for a clear and consistent position in support of Ukraine on this issue".
