Greetings of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on the occasion of the Day of the Security Service of Ukraine
Today is the 24th anniversary since the establishment of the Security Service of Ukraine. I sincerely congratulate all uniformed personnel, employees and veterans of the SBU with the holiday!
I had the honor to head the SBU and I know how responsible, difficult and dangerous the service of Ukrainian counterintelligence agents is. I feel great respect and esteem about all personnel and veterans, who with dignity fulfill their constitutional duties.
Now, in conditions of Russian aggression, when the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine are threatened, SBU officers stand on guard of the interests of our country, its sovereignty and constitutional order, security and peace for citizens of Ukraine.
Top officials and ordinary personnel of the SBU ‑ patriots and professionals the highest grade ‑ selflessly and faithfully serve the people and the state, effectively counteract terrorism, separatism and criminality, displays of corruption, protecting their country everywhere: in the rear and at the front. Eternal memory and esteem to SBU officers, who gave their lives, fulfilling their duty, protecting the interests of Ukraine and its citizens!
I wish you happiness, good health, successful realization of responsible assignments! I believe that the overarching mission, being fulfilled by SBU, will not leave the enemies a single chance and our struggle for potent and independent Ukraine will end in victory!
