Oleksandr Turchynov expressed his sincere condolences to the families of victims of terrorist attacks in Brussels

The bloody terror, unleashed in the East of our country, and the terrorist attacks in Turkey, Paris and Brussels have the same directors. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov.

"Just four months ago in Europe terrorist attacks occurred, which set the whole world in turmoil. And today again the explosions have sounded. This time in Brussels", ‑ he said.

Mr. Turchynov noted that terrorists "always choose the most vulnerable places, attacking the defenseless civilians". "Not accidentally Brussels, where the official institutions of the EU and NATO are situated, was chosen as the new terror target. Terrorists always have the same goal ‑ to sow panic, fear, vulnerability and insecurity. Therefore, the only thing, which we can counter terrorism with, is cohesion, calmness and clear adequate actions", ‑ NSDC Secretary of Ukraine stressed.

Mr. Turchynov expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the hope for quick recovery of the wounded.

"Today bursts of terrorist attacks are the aftermath of a hybrid war, which Russia has started. The bloody terror, unleashed in the East of our country, and the terrorist attacks in Turkey, Paris and Brussels have the same directors. Deliberately destroying the civilian infrastructure in Syrian cities, the Russian Federation actively stimulated powerful migration flows, which easily disguise fundamentalists and terrorists. Only being aware of the threat and through consolidation, we will be able to defeat international terrorism and stop those, who cultivate it", ‑ NSDC Secretary of Ukraine emphasized.
