State Enterprise “Zorya”-“Mashproekt” begins to supply equipment for the new ships of Indian Navy
On February 17th First Deputy to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy along with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti and Director General of State Concern "Ukroboronprom" Roman Romanov at the state enterprise "Scientific and production complex of gas turbine construction "Zorya"-"Mashproekt" took part in trials of main gas turbine unit, intended for ships of Indian Navy.
From 2016 this enterprise from Mykolayiv begins to supply the Indian purchaser the modernized maritime propulsion units for a series of updated draft ships, which are being built at a shipyard in Mumbai. In total under the contract "Zorya"-"Mashproekt" will equip four ships of the project within the period till 2019. The contract for the equipping of new ships of Indian Navy was signed in 2013. This is one of several projects that the enterprise implements under the order of Indian party.
The parties are bound together by more than 20 years of cooperation. On January 25th in India a new general agreement between the State Enterprise "Zorya"-"Mashproekt" and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of India was signed. The agreement defines the areas and principles of cooperation between the parties for the next 10 years.
