Oleksandr Turchynov: The Minsk agreements will be fulfilled when the last Russian soldier leaves the Ukrainian territory
According to the Minsk agreements, we are to liberate all the territory of Donbas from occupants. This was stated by NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, when commenting on journalists' question regarding the statement of the Russian representative in the UN about our military taking control over seven cities in the area of ATO.
"I do not understand the Russian hysteria on this subject, because there are still too many towns and regions that are to be controlled by Ukraine in accordance to the Minsk agreements, but are still captured by Russian occupation forces", - he said, adding that the main objective of the Minsk agreements is the complete liberation of Donbas from the Russian occupation and renewal of control at the Ukrainian-Russian border, "but not the electoral process, as some people try to present the agreements reached in Minsk".
At the same time, NSDC Secretary stressed that Ukraine fulfills all the assumed commitments, not violating the Minsk agreements, "as the Russian occupation forces and terrorist groups under their control constantly violate the cease-fire, shelling Ukrainian positions on a daily basis".
"We understand the Minsk agreements as a complete liberation of Ukrainian territory from Russian invaders and move in that direction. Only after the last Russian soldier leaves the Ukrainian territory we can say that these agreements are fulfilled", - Oleksandr Turchynov stressed.
