A meeting of NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov and a delegation of US House of Representatives took place.

During the meeting parties discussed issues of intensification of bilateral cooperation between our states in defense and security sector.

Oleksandr Turchynov expressed gratitude to the Congress and US Government "for the support that we feel - political and economic". "But we believe that now it is necessary to resume military cooperation, unblocking shipments of weapons and equipment for Ukraine, which is actually an outpost that stopped the advancement of Russian army to the West", - NSDC Secretary pointed out, adding that he hopes for a new stage in relations between our countries.

In their turn, US Congress representatives emphasized that they see Ukraine as a reliable partner and will in every possible way promote the transition of cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level.
