Oleksandr Turchynov: The elections at the occupied territory are to be held only after the withdrawal of Russian troops
According to Minsk agreements, for holding the elections at the occupied territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions it is necessary to fulfill a set of conditions. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov during the program "Left Bank" on 24th channel.
Oleksandr Turchynov remarked that among the conditions under the Minsk agreements are the withdrawal of Russian troops, restoration of law and the Constitution at the occupied territories, unblocking of state enterprises and government institutions, creating conditions for all political forces, Ukrainian media to hold the electoral campaign.
At the same time, as NSDC Secretary noted, the militants have decided to hold elections on October 18th in the so-called "DPR" and in early November in the so-called "LPR".
"We do not recognize these elections, because none of the provisions of the Minsk agreements is fulfilled here", - he stressed.
