Oleg Hladkovskiy held a meeting of the Interagency Commission on issues of military-industrial complex
Today the inaugural session of the Interagency Commission on issues of military-industrial complex, headed by the First Deputy to the Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy took place.
"Our defense industry has to meet the tasks and challenges which our state is facing today" - Oleg Hladkovskiy said, adding that the purpose of the activities of Interagency Commission is to accelerate the development of military-industrial complex of Ukraine "to provide our military with modern and reliable armament and military equipment".
Opening the meeting, Oleg Hladkovskiy reminded that the Interagency commission on issues of military-industrial complex has been created in accordance with the decision of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine from May 6th, 2015 "On the state of implementation of decisions of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and further measures to ensure the defense capacity of the state" approved by the Decree of President of Ukraine from May 26th, 2015 № 285.
"The competence of the Interagency Commission includes all aspects of military-technical and military-industrial policy and the functioning of military-industrial complex of the state", - stressed First Deputy to NSDC Secretary.
During the first meeting the organizational issues of the Interdepartmental Commission were discussed as well as the draft of State target defense program on the development of armament and military equipment for the period until 2020 and the program for development and modernization of high-precision weapons.
