Oleksandr Turchynov: Russian political establishment feels that it's time to pay for its crimes

Russian government awkward attempts to cover up its crimes by increasing the scale of information war against our country will not help them to escape responsibility and international tribunal. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in his comments for journalists.

"The international investigation into the causes of Malaysian Boeing crash comes to its completion. No one has any further doubts of Russian military being involved in this crime, they destroyed the plane with Russian "Buk-M", having mistakenly taken it for a Ukrainian military transport", - Oleksandr Turchynov said.

According to him, the Russian government launches in the press a "canard" with yet another experts, this time from "Almaz-Antey" concern, who again drag by the head and ears the false assessment based on "expert reports, published in the media" that they once more found the Ukrainian track in this case. "In my memory this is the fifth or even the tenth attempt of Russia to distance themselves from this terrible tragedy, at that, awkward and clueless one", - Oleksandr Turchynov stated.

He added that at first Russian media cited stories of "witnesses" who allegedly by their own eyes have seen at a distance of 10,000 kilometers from the ground, as Ukrainian military aircraft shot down the "Boeing", then the Defense Ministry presented "satellite images" that supposedly confirmed the presence of Ukrainian air defense near the crash site, which proved to be just a poor photomontage, and now experts from some "Almaz-Antey" appeared, alluding perhaps to the fact that they have eagle-eyes."

Oleksandr Turchynov expressed confidence that such actions of the Russian authorities are intended to buy time before the punishment. "This constant hysterical lies prove that Russian political establishment feels: it's time to pay for its crimes. And so they do everything possible to delay this moment", - he said.

"Russian authorities may continue to manipulate, twist the facts and mislead the population of their country, making up yet another "experts", but they won't be able to avoid the responsibility, they will pay for everything in international courts: for terrorism, for the killing and the blood of Ukrainians and people, who flew on vacation in Malaysian "Boeing", - he concluded.
