The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine met with a founder of the Inter-Fractional Group on cooperation with Ukraine in the US Congress, Senator Robert Portman

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Olexandr Turchynov met with a founder of the Inter-Fractional Group on cooperation with Ukraine in the US Congress, Senator Robert Portman.

During the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in economic and investment fields, including activation of military-technical cooperation.

In particular, Robert Portman said that he, together with the Democratic Party Senator Dick Durbin, created the Inter-Fractional Group on cooperation with Ukraine in the Senate. «Everybody understands that today Ukraine requires comprehensive assistance, including arms assistance to protect itself», - said the senator, adding that «the US Congress fully supports this aspiration of Ukraine».
