Oleksandr Turchynov: having defeated the Russian-terrorist groups around Mariupol, our Armed Forces provided leak-proof defense of the city

Today, Units of The National Guard and the special regiment "Azov" in their vanguard with the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine breached the enemy defenses near Mariupol. This was announced today by The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov from the battlefield.

He said that during the attack Pavlopol, Kominternove, Lebedinskoye, Berdyansk, Shyrokine and other cities were taken under control.

"The enemy suffered very serious combat losses. Having defeated Russian- terrorist groups around Mariupol, our Armed Forces provided the leak-proof defense of the city and protected from shelling civilians", ‑ said Oleksandr Turchynov.
