Oleksandr Lytvynenko on the initiative of Brazil and China to hold an international peace conference

International law is the only basis for a just peace. This was emphasised by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko in his article for the French edition of Le Figaro Vox.

• "Ukraine is facing a full-scale imperialist war, unprovoked and criminal in nature, unleashed by Russia, but not an abstract "crisis" as referred to in the (Brazilian-Chinese) document.
• The (Brazilian-Chinese) document does not make the holding of an international peace conference to de-escalate the situation and resume dialogue and negotiations conditional on compliance with international law. I am convinced that it should be the basis for an honest discussion of all peace plans.
