Defence of Kharkiv, energy facilities, enhancing electronic warfare and air defence: The President of Ukraine chaired a Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting
On Monday, 8 April, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting where several issues were discussed. The key one was the defence of Kharkiv.
The meeting included reports from the military on the physical protection of energy facilities and the effectiveness of shooting down drones and missiles. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there will be individual tasks for our diplomats to work with partners to develop new air defence systems for Ukraine.
"I am grateful to everyone at the central level and in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region who is working as hard as possible to restore the opportunity for people to live normally," - outlined the President of Ukraine.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi explained the situation on the main combat areas.
"We are holding our positions. The main thing now is effective logistics," - said the President.
The Head of State also noted that intelligence and special services were working on new steps to reduce russia's war potential.
