The issues of development of cyber diplomacy and implementation of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine were discussed at the meeting of the NCSCC

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Demedyuk chaired the 22nd meeting of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the NSDC of Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the development of cyber diplomacy, the state of implementation of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine and improving the efficiency of annual planning for the implementation of its tasks, as well as additional cybersecurity measures for process control systems at critical infrastructure facilities.

The event was attended by experts from the NSDC Staff, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, the leadership of the state's intelligence agencies, and members of the Ukrainian Parliament.

"International practice shows that cyber diplomacy is increasingly becoming a separate area of foreign policy activity of the world's leading countries. In the context of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, which is being carried out, in particular, in cyberspace, the issue of cyber diplomacy is becoming even more relevant for our country," Serhiy Demedyuk said.

The participants of the meeting supported the proposal of the Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine on the need to develop approaches to the implementation of cyber diplomacy measures by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and communication with international partners - with the participation of the NCSCC and the main actors of the national cybersecurity system to ensure a coordinated position. In this context, they discussed the establishment of an interagency working group and a corresponding digital platform.

In addition, the participants of the meeting heard a report by the Deputy Head of the SSSCIP on the implementation of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine.

Following the meeting, a number of decisions were made to address these issues.
