Head of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Ziuz took part in the strategic session "Open data: now and for post-war reconstruction" as part of Open Data Day

On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Head of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Ziuz took part in the strategic session "Open data: now and for post-war reconstruction", dedicated to problems in the field of open data and the role of this data in the process of effective post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

This event on the occasion of the International Day of Open Data (Open Data Day) was organized by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with USAID / UK aid project "Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services / TAPAS" with the support of the Eastern Europe Foundation.

"Open data of Ukraine has been open for 10 years. In the conditions of certain restrictions on access to data caused by the armed aggression of the russian federation, the state must nevertheless inform the society by opening information that is not prohibited from being made public," Head of the NSDC Staff said.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Head of the Justice and Anti-Corruption Mission of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine Jay Tott, First Secretary for Political Affairs of the British Embassy in Ukraine William Turner, Head of the USAID / UK aid project "Transparency and Accountability in Public Administration and Services / TAPAS" Danylo Molchanov, President of the Eastern Europe Foundation Viktor Lyakh.

Among the participants of the event are representatives of information managers, the power bloc, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, international donors and partners with the participation of representatives of civil society in the areas of anti-corruption policy and open data.

For reference: Open Data Day is celebrated around the world every year at the beginning of March. The Ukrainian Open Data Day is dedicated to building a strategic dialogue to find opportunities for effective use of the socio-economic and anti-corruption potential of open data and its role in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
