Oleksiy Danilov: Changes will be made to the strategy of deoccupation of Crimea

Corresponding changes will be made to the strategy of deoccupation of Crimea. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of the national telethon on the “We-Ukraine” TV channel on March 2, 2023.

Secretary of the NSDC emphasized that according to the decree of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy No. 117 of March 24, 2021, the issue of deoccupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol should be resolved through political and diplomatic means. However, he noted, the full-scale war made adjustments to this issue.

"We must consider the strategy of deoccupation of Crimea, make appropriate changes and vote on them at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. After that, President of Ukraine must either issue a new Decree or make changes to the current strategy. Currently, we are working with the relevant regulatory and legal documents so that they meet the interests of our country," Oleksiy Danilov said.

At the same time, he emphasized that the partisans and a huge number of citizens living in Crimea are ready for the deoccupation of the peninsula and are waiting for the Armed Forces. "They will help and rejoice that in the near future the Armed Forces will be located on the sovereign territory of Ukraine - in Crimea," Oleksiy Danilov noted.
