We are now being reborn as a nation. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stated this on air at the national telethon on Wednesday.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers are holding back the Russian offensive in all directions, the enemy is “almost not moving anywhere”, and the aggressor himself admits this. “The plans they had were ruined”, - Mr. Danilov said adding that the enemy is now trying to regroup to attempt resuming the offensive.

At the same time, the NSDC Secretary noticed, “what our security and defense sector is doing together with civil society, with all the people – those are simply incredible things”. “What is happening today wasn’t there either in 1991, or in 2004, or in 2013. We are now being reborn as a nation”, - he stressed.

“They made plans to seize Kyiv in 3-4 days. But we have weapons. The weapon we use is our will and our desire for freedom. Our President inspires us. The whole governmental team, the Armed Forces, the whole country has stood side by side, so no matter what the enemy has drawn in his mind, they have zero chances”, - Mr. Danilov emphasized.

Speaking about the absence in the information field of some representatives of Russia’s military-political leadership, Oleksiy Danilov noted president putin has been destroying the russian federation for 22 years. “No one touched them, they destroyed themselves”, - he added, noticing that the Russians “constructed a soap bubble for themselves and believed in it, and now they are paying for it”.

According to him, a showdown between the military and special services has started in russia on the issue of whom to blame for the failure of the attack on Ukraine. At the same time, the NSDC Secretary stated that replacing the generals would not help the Russians defeat Ukraine.

The NSDC Secretary called the possibility of Belarus’s entering the war a challenge for Ukraine and said that “we are ready for this”. According to him, putin is forcing the Lukashenko regime to launch a military operation in various ways, in particular through providing economic and financial preferences to Belarus, but he has not yet succeeded.

At the same time, Mr. Danilov once again stressed that if the Belarusian army enters the war, it will be destroyed.
