Oleksandr Danyliuk met with the representatives of the International Advisory Group on security and defense sector reform
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk met with the representatives of the International Advisory Group (IAG) on security and defense sector reform. During the meeting, the parties discussed, in particular, the process of implementing the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The NSDC Secretary noted that the creation of a powerful Security Service, which will, first of all, fulfill the counter-intelligence task, is one of the most important priorities today. He also reminded that in the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is already preparing a number of bills on reforming the Security Service and intelligence agencies.
The representatives of the International Advisory Group, which included members of the EU Advisory Mission, the NATO office, the EU Delegation and the US Embassy in Ukraine, expressed their support for the initiative to reform the security and defense sector and their willingness to share international experience.
