Serhiy Kryvonos: New regulatory framework is needed in the field of military-patriotic education of youth

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos stresses the need to adopt a new regulatory framework in the field of military-patriotic education of youth.

In an interview with the news agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Army Inform", Mr. Kryvonos informed that efforts in the field of patriotic upbringing of youth were united by volunteers and public organizations. "In no case is it an attempt to create some kind of legal entity that would absorb everyone, - he said. - Now it is important to gain a common understanding, conceptual framework, and legislative support. Documents are needed to clearly define who is who in military-patriotic education and what tasks they are fulfilling".

The Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine noted that the ministries and agencies that deal with this issue resolve it "at the tactical level", adding that in some cases the state funds allocated for military-patriotic education are misused by some authorities. "We strive to resolve strategic issues through cooperation with the public", - he said.

"We need a new regulatory framework. We are currently developing it and will submit it to the new composition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", - Mr. Kryvonos pointed out.
