Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos discussed with experts and public members the creation of a national system of military patriotic-education of youth

Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Kryvonos held a meeting with experts and representatives of civil organizations on the issue of the creation of a national system of military patriotic-education of youth.

The event took place within the framework of implementing the NSDC decision of May 7, 2019, "On measures to strengthen the defense capability of the state" enacted by the Decree of the President of Ukraine №200/2019.

According to Mr. Kryvonos, more than 80 public members and combatants, representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine participated in the discussion.

"I was pleasantly impressed with the level of expert opinion and suggestions of specialists. This is really a circle of like-minded people, who, like me, consider raising the young generation one of the main priorities for the state", - the Deputy NSDC Secretary said.

Within the framework of implementing the Presidential Decrees of May 7, 2019, "On measures to strengthen the defense capability of the state" №200/2019 and "On the interdepartmental working group on preparing proposals for strengthening the defense capability of the state" №201/2019, Mr. Kryvonos will hold a series of expert meetings on "raising the level of military-patriotic education of youth", "improving the system of territorial defense" and "preparing the military reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations".

"Today, the main task is to transform all effective developments into the national system of military-patriotic education of youth and a strong system of territorial defense of Ukraine", - the Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine concluded.
