The largest annual Ukrainian exhibition “Arms and Security” and the Aviation and Space Salon “Aviasvit XXI” have opened in Kyiv
The largest exhibition in Ukraine, "Arms and Security" and the Aviation and Space Salon "Aviasvit XXI" have opened in the capital. The Ukrainian exposition is represented by 456 participants from the state and private sectors of the defense industry; 47 leading enterprises from 17 countries of the world represent the international exposition.
For the first time at the exhibition, the national pavilions of the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Turkey and the Czech Republic are presented. High-level delegations led by the heads of defense ministries and agencies from Austria, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Poland, Moldova, Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, the Czech Republic have arrived at the event.
The exhibition presents the products of leading companies-producers of weapons and military equipment from the USA, Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, China, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan.
According to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, who headed the steering committee of the exhibition and was unable to attend the opening due to events in Ichnia, "we have one of the best defense exhibitions since the independence of Ukraine".
"Ukrainian defense enterprises are capable of producing competitive and reliable weapons and military equipment that pass tests in combat conditions". "According to the users of this equipment, its tactical and technical characteristics are in line with the best world analogs, at the same time, this equipment is much cheaper", - he said.
The Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine informed that during the exhibition, "numerous conferences, seminars and other scientific and practical events, at which experts from Ukrainian and foreign scientific and research institutions, designers of armaments and representatives of leading enterprises and companies have an opportunity to exchange views, experiences and discuss promising directions and technologies for the development and production of modern weapons; an opportunity to launch and implement cooperation and investment projects; the peculiarities of countering modern forms of aggression and the use of armaments to repel it; technologies and means of protection, etc".
