Greetings of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov with the Constitution Day of Ukraine

I sincerely congratulate you on the Constitution Day of Ukraine!

The Basic law adopted over 20 years ago clearly states that Ukraine is a unitary, sovereign, independent, democratic, social, and law-based state, an equal member of the international community.

It is such a state that we are building! And any attempts of Russia's sorry excuse of an empire to stop us on this path by military actions, terrorist acts, cyberattacks or other aggressive actions are doomed!

Today, only a strong national state is capable of ensuring the protection and development of Ukraine. This state should be based on law, one for all without exceptions and restrictions. Equality of rights, duties, and responsibility for one's own country. It was for this that we stood on the Maidan, the best Ukrainians are giving their lives for this!

Empires will crumble like sand castles, diffident dictators will disappear, and Ukraine was, is and will be!
