Oleksandr Turchynov: The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation is responsible for the death of a member of the OSCE SMM and wounding of two members of the Mission

The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation bears the responsibility for the death of a member of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (US citizen) and wounding of two members of the Mission (citizens of Germany and the Czech Republic). "This explosion, - Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov emphasized, - is a planned terrorist attack aimed against the OSCE Mission in Donbas. The sole responsibility for this terrorist attack lies of the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation, which controls the occupied territory of Donbas. No actions of hybrid troops take place without the consent with the Russian General Staff".

According to Mr. Turchynov, during the transit of the OSCE SMM patrol, yesterday in the territory occupied by Russia near the settlement Pryshyb of Luhansk region, one of the vehicles was blown up by a mine planted by militants of the Russian-terrorist groupings. "One of the tasks that were being worked out by terrorists while blowing up the OSCE SMM car was to suspend the patrolling of the occupied territory for further massive and uncontrolled movement of Russian weapons and military equipment with a view to further prepare large-scale military provocations", - Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine reported.

 "I want to stress that the Russian military representatives in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination and illegal military formations under their control were informed about the route of the OSCE representatives, to whom they provided respective security guarantees", - he said adding that the OSCE SMM patrol did not go off the planned route.

To his view, Sergey Lavrov's statement on "the need for immediate search for those guilty" is blasphemous and cynical, "because those guilty of this terrorist attack are in the Kremlin and bear sole responsibility both for blood of the OSCE representatives and the Ukrainian military and civilians, who have been dying in Donbas because of Russia's aggression for the third year in a row".
