NSDC of Ukraine adopted a decision concerning sanctions against persons, involved in unlawful actions towards Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and other Ukrainian patriots

National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine at a meeting on Friday considered and unanimously supported the issue concerning application of individual special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) against persons, involved in unlawful actions towards Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsovand other Ukrainian patriots.

The sanctions indefinitely apply to persons who have committed crimes against the citizens of Ukraine: Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and other patriots. The list included persons involved in the abduction, unlawful detention, torture, falsification of cases, organization of made-to-order legally void "sentences" of the Russian courts. Among those, included in the sanction list, are executives and personnel of the FSB, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Prosecutors Office, judicial corps, the military and others.

During the meeting the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stressed that "Ukraine will never recognize "sentences" of Russian courts regarding illegally detained Ukrainian patriots".

Also the President of Ukraine instructed to expand the sanction list by Russian citizens involved in the persecution of Ukrainian citizens, in particular the Crimean Tatars at the occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
