Ukraine and NATO signed the Roadmap on defense-technical Cooperation
Within the framework of visit of President of Ukraine to NATO Headquarters a Ukraine-NATO Roadmap on defense-technical Cooperation was signed. The document was signed by the First Deputy to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy and NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defense Investment Patrick Auroy.
The signing of the Roadmap is a logical continuation of long-term cooperation in this area and is aimed at the development of practical aspects of implementation of the priorities envisaged in the Joint Statement on intensification of the defense-technical cooperation between Ukraine and NATO, signed on September 22, 2015 during the visit of NATO Secretary General to Ukraine.
The document defines the basic measures of cooperation for the development of Ukraine's capabilities in the field of armaments and military equipment, achieving interoperability with NATO forces in the field as well as assisting Ukraine in transition onto technical standards of Alliance.
