Greetings of NSDC Secretary OleksandrTurchynov with the Independence Day of Ukraine

Dear friends!

I congratulate you on the Day of Independence of Ukraine. The independence of our country was a dream and the aim for several generations of patriots. But for their freedom and independence the best children of Ukraine paid with their blood and lives. I would like to thank all true heroes, who today defend our country from cruel and treacherous enemy. Eternal memory and respect to all, who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine.

Fathers, mothers, wives, and all families of our soldiers, I bow before you for the Heroes! What they do today for the entire country is invaluable. It is their contribution to our future, to our present. Our warriors today write the history... Today, more than ever, we all need to be united, because the enemy is waiting for exactly the other things from us. Step by step, day by day, together we will protect the country and restore its borders, transform Ukraine into corruption free, democratic, equitable and strong state.
