Oleksandr Turchynov: Electronic access control system in the area of ATO
The final stage of transition to electronic access control system in the area of ATO is ongoing. Such was informed by NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov during the meeting on the access control through the line of collision in the area of ATO.
The meeting was attended by the executives of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Security Service and State Border Service of Ukraine.
"At the checkpoints in the area of ATO from 7 July this year the electronic access control system will be introduced", - Oleksandr Turchynov said.
He explained that citizens to get the pass won't have to directly contact the officials who provide permits.
According to him, one can give in the application form by mail or email or fill it in at the coordination centers, "leaving the form in a special box". Citizens' applications will be automatically checked in databases of security forces on the subject of "criminal offenses, participation in rebel groups or cooperation with terrorists".
"In case such information finds its confirmation, those involved in crimes will be arrested when crossing the checkpoints", - NSDC Secretary said, adding that citizens who will pass the electronic check and receive the relevant message, may freely cross the checkpoints only with the passport of citizen of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Turchynov have expressed his conviction that "a new access control system in the area of ATO will be efficient and effective, and will let to completely get rid of the queues at the checkpoints and eliminate corruption in issuing of permits".
