Olexandr Turchynov: Our task is to strengthen our army without losing a single day, a single hour
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that only a strong army can defend our country against aggression. He said this during celebrations to mark the anniversary of the battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Sergei Kulchytsky.
Olexandr Turchynov also mentioned that now, according to the Minsk Agreements, the ceasefire regime is running. «But we see that the fire does not stop. Thus, the scale is much smaller, but we understand that the enemy did not stop, the enemy is preparing for a new aggression», - stressed the Secretary of the NSDC, adding that another wave of aggression is evidenced by the fact that for the first time since the Minsk Agreements the terrorist groups used multiple launch rocket systems.
«We understand that time is limited, Putin is preparing for a new large-scale military operation. Our task is to strengthen our Armed Forces and the National Guard without losing a single day, a single hour, as well as to build a strong line of defense, hurling all effort into compensating the losses of weapons and equipment that we have experienced. In order to be ready to meet the enemy, to be ready to win», - he said.
