Oleksandr Turchynov: war cabinet is established under the NSDC of Ukraine
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine adopted a decision to establish the War Cabinet. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov at the briefing after the meeting of the NSDC of Ukraine.
"During the latest events in our country, holding meetings of the military leadership with the nation's leadership has become common practice. That is why one of the decisions taken today relates the establishment of the War Cabinet under the NSDC of Ukraine", ‑ he said.
Oleksandr Turchynov stressed that other than the nation's leadership the military leadership was also included in the War Cabinet.
According to him, the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine also considered measures of readjustment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military units, taking into consideration a new fighting line and strengthen of active defense, as it was indicated for the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
