Putin's propagandistic "victory" in Syria has turned into a disgraceful farce. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov in his comment. He reminded that on December 31, the Russian troops in Syria suffered the most significant losses for the whole military operation.

According to him, at least four Su-24 bombers, two Su-35S fighter jets, an An-72 military transport aircraft and an ammunition warehouse were destroyed at the Russian air base in Khmeimim. "The same day, the Russian helicopter Mi-24 was destroyed during the military mission", - he said adding that the Russian General Staff and the Ministry of Defense failed to hide such massive losses.
