Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov met with Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of deepening Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation in a number of areas, in particular in the context of Ukraine’s countering russian invasion and further post-war reconstruction of the state.

The NSDC Secretary expressed his gratitude to the Japanese side for the comprehensive assistance provided to our country and consistent stance on supporting Ukraine on the world stage. “We are grateful for your stance. We highly value the Ukrainian-Japanese partnership”, - he noticed.

Mr. Danilov expressed his belief in the promising prospects for developing cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in high-tech spheres. “Ukraine has the necessary potential to become a technological hub for Japanese companies in a number of areas after the victory, - he emphasized. - It is important to launch the preparatory work now”.

In his turn, Mr. Matsuda noted that the sovereignty, independence and security of Ukraine is important not only for Europe, but also for the whole world, and “Ukraine remains an important partner for Japan”.

Mr. Ambassador also assured that Japan will further provide assistance to Ukraine in the financial, humanitarian, military and other spheres, as well as continue to strengthen sanctions against the russian aggressor and promote the position of Ukraine in the international arena.
